Who we are

Our website address is: https://www.wellnessupgraded.com and we host our programs using Kajabi. This privacy policy is for Wellness Upgraded and all its related websites.

Please note that our Privacy Policy changes occasionally and changes are effective at the time we post them. Please check back frequently for updates to this Privacy Policy, as it is you sole responsibility to be aware of these changes. If you do not agree with the terms of this Privacy Policy please do not provide any information to Wellness Upgraded or use any of the products or services offered or provided on any of the websites referred to in this policy.

This policy applies to Wellness Upgraded’s collection, use, storage and disclosure of information by Wellness Upgraded on its (a) websites, including all its divisions, subsidiaries and related companies (collectively, the “Websites”), (b) on various third party websites, and (c) to Wellness Upgraded’s other information collection, including the purchase of customer lists from third parties. Wellness Upgraded is not responsible for the information collection or privacy practices of third web sites or applications.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

We collect information about you during the signup process as well as some basic activities such as the dates you make purchases, login to the site, or cancel/pause/resume your subscriptions with us.

When you subscribe with us, we’ll ask you to provide an email address. We’ll use this information for purposes, such as, to:

  • Send you information about your account and subscriptions. This may include payment receipts, password reset emails, and payment reminders.
  • Create your membership account

Wellness Upgraded will never knowingly collect any personal information about children under the age of 13. If Wellness Upgraded obtains actual knowledge that it has collected personal information about a child under the age of 13, that information will be immediately deleted from our database. Because it does not collect such information, Wellness Upgraded has no such information to use or to disclose to third parties. Wellness Upgraded has designed this policy in order to comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (“COPPA”).

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

Cookies

Cookies are files with small amount of data that is commonly used an anonymous unique identifier. These are sent to your browser from the website that you visit and are stored on your computer’s hard drive.

Our website uses these “cookies” to collection information and to improve our Service. You have the option to either accept or refuse these cookies, and know when a cookie is being sent to your computer. If you choose to refuse our cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service.

If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

We also use cookies to help our affiliates track who they have sent to our site. These cookies do not expire. This allows us to compensate our affiliates for helping to promote our programs.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Technology platforms we share your data with

If you request a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset email.

We use a secure payment processor called Stripe as well as Paypal, which is linked to our checkout system called ThriveCarts. All payment information is safely encrypted for your security. 

When processing payments, some of your data will be passed to Stripe or Paypal, depending on which payment method you’ve chosen, including information required to process or support the payment, such as the purchase total and billing information.

We use Kajabi as our email service provider, which integrates with our website and checkout process so that we can communicate with you.

We may share personal information with third parties, including:

  • With third-parties that provide services on our behalf;
  • As part of a sale, merger or acquisition, or other transfer of all or part of our assets including as part of a bankruptcy proceeding; 
  • Pursuant to a subpoena, court order, or other legal process or as otherwise required or requested by law, regulation, or government authority programs, or to protect our rights or the rights or safety of third parties; or
  • With your consent or as otherwise disclosed at the time of data collection or sharing. 

We may share technical information, as well as any other information that has been de-identified or aggregated so that it does not identify you personally, without restriction.

Use and Dissemination of Individual Information

Wellness Upgraded and its divisions, subsidiaries and related companies may use individual information for any legally permissible purpose in our sole discretion. Wellness Upgraded may use Individual Information to provide promotional offers to individuals by means of email advertising, telephone marketing, direct mail marketing, online banner advertising, and package stuffers, among other possible uses.

WELLNESS UPGRADED MAY SELL OR TRANSFER INDIVIDUAL INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES FOR ANY PURPOSE IN WELLNESS UPGRADED’S SOLE DISCRETION. If you do not wish us to use personal information about you to promote or sell our products and services or to sell, transfer or otherwise provide personal information about you to third parties, please inform us by sending us an email and we will honor your request.

Wellness Upgraded will transfer Individual Information to third parties when necessary to provide a product or service that a person orders from such third party while using Wellness Upgraded web sites or when responding to offers provided by Wellness Upgraded.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.

What rights you have over your data

If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data is sent

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
